30% of GLHN's revenue is earned by governmental contracts, a large portion of which are with federal agencies, primarily the Department of Veterans Affairs. GLHN has been working for VA continuously since 1975. Since 1994, VA Central Office in Washington, D.C. has awarded GLHN four consecutive nationwide Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. Under these contracts, GLHN has provided professional services at over 100 VA Medical Centers. Assignments have included the preparation of RFQ packages, medical center master planning, hospital renovations, design of outpatient clinics, development of physical security and design manuals, Facility Condition Assessments, and studies to assess storm vulnerability at Gulf and coastal locations.
GLHN has worked for the Bureau of Land Management, in partnership with other firms. GLHN engineers collaborated on the award-winning National Historic Trails Interpretive Center in Casper, Wyoming and on the Visitors Center and Education Center project at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Nevada, both designed for LEED certification.
