Downtown Tucson Redevelopment District Utility Master
Plan
In 2006, GLHN was retained by the City of Tucson to perform a Utility
Master Plan for the Downtown Redevelopment District. The UMP evaluated
all existing underground utility systems, identified deficiencies,
and provided strategies for growth and expansion to support the
district's above-ground development. In 2007, the Redevelopment
Office asked GLHN to expand these services and perform a higher-level
effort on a much larger project area encompassing all of downtown
Tucson. GLHN successfully met a 32-day schedule to assess the existing
water, wastewater, power, telecommunications, storm drain, and natural
gas systems in a one-square mile planning area and project the growth
needs. |
