Utility Master Plan
AIMS Community College
GLHN has developed utility infrastructure master planning strategies
for over two dozen college and university campuses. Aims Community
College in Greeley, Colorado is a 185-acre urban campus with 360,000
sf of existing buildings and a projected 25-year growth of 400,000
sf of new buildings. GLHN performed a three-stage master planning
process for chilled water, potable water, fire protection systems,
sanitary sewer, natural gas, irrigation, electrical power and lighting,
and communications systems. The process involved identifying existing
deficiencies, projecting future loads, and identifying optimal strategies
to grow the utility production and distribution systems in concert
with the above-ground building growth. |
