GLHN has performed two phases of studies for the Department of Veterans
Affairs covering over 20 medical centers at Gulf and eastern coastal
regions to evaluate emergency power and water supply during natural
disasters. GLHN hosted a workshop for partnering architectural and
engineering firms to brainstorm possible solutions to key design issues
associated with preparing medical centers in hurricane-prone locations
for emergency situations.
