Facility Condition Assessments
GLHN has developed one of the most qualified building survey teams
in the United States. Since 2000, GLHN's multidiscipline team of
architects and engineers has performed Facility Condition Assessments
(FCA) of over 80 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers
in more than three dozen states, surveying over 1,000 buildings
totaling more than 45 million gsf. A typical FCA surveys central
utility production and distribution exterior and interior architectural
elements, plumbing, electrical power and lighting, HVAC, vertical
and automatic transport systems, code compliance, security systems,
and ADA compliance. The information gathered provides a professional
assessment of the client's capital assets that facilitates fair
planning and expenditure of resources.
GLHN has also developed a system for performing Facility Development
Plans (FDP). FDPs go a step further than the FCAs - in addition
to the technical review, emphasis is placed on assessment of the
goals and resources of the client to correct deficiencies and
develop both short and long term space/functional plans. |
